Wrong Product |
I bought this a couple days ago and was glad it arrived so quickly. Little did i know that i recieved the microspy remote, which dosent work at all. THe light wont even flash. I am still waiting for Absolute Dealz to respond. Luckily I see that Im not the only one with this problem.

I wouldn't recommend purchasing this item from the person selling out of Hong Kong. You wait weeks for it, and then if the thing doesn't work, you're out of luck (and a few dollars). Neither of my remotes worked. All I received as customer support was an email reiterating the instructions for use. Not very helpful. |

Just A few Points |
OK. So I bought this device with the intention that if I visit a restaurant or other establishment where there is a TV that is blasting or just really annoying while I'm eating, I can turn it off,lower the volume or change the channel to something more suitable. After using it I found a few things that if I had known beforehand I probably wouldn't have made the purchase. The fist thing I noticed is that the instructions say that you press the "Mute' button for about 5 secs then release as this puts the device into the scan mode. When the "mute" icon displays on the TV you press the button again, and now you have complete control of the set. This is incorrect and only after reading one of the other reviews did I realize that you must hold the button down UNTIL the "Mute" icon displays on the screen, then release. After learning this, the device now works as advertised. (You do have to release at just the right moment or you'll have to start the scan over) Now I have total control of the TV right? Wrong. What I forgot is that most TV's are on a cable/Satellite system and this device won't control those boxes. (As far as I know at this time) So all you can really do is change the volume or turn it off. If the TV is a stand alone unit then you can change channels,volume, mute or turn it off. I still enjoy this little thing since I'm a gadget nut.

More controls than other similar devices that only turn off the TV.
Cheap Price.
Cons: Poor construction (probably wont last very long)
Won't control the Cable box/Sat receiver.
Have to hold down the "Mute " button until it finds the right code. (this could be awhile if the code is close to the end of the list)

first of all this was the fastest shipping i've ever seen. and the remote, works beauitifuly. i love changing the channel or turning off the tv then watching my brother get pissed off. i havnt got a chance to put this to the test yet, scince i just got it today, but i look forward to it. thanks! |

Let me start off by saying very good shipiing time considering it was over the weekend and it was comin from florida to nj. but the product was not the Ninja Remote as advertised. I Recieved the Micro Spy remote which dosent really work as advertissed either. So far i have tried it on 3 tv's, 2 sony and 1 samsung. I only have complete control on the samsung. 1 sony can only be muted and another dosent work at all. Great shipping time and nice seller but I would not reccomend the product. |
