Works, but not as clear as I wanted it to be |
I bought this item in the hope that it will replace the need to burn CDs to listen to while driving to work everyday, but the sound quality was not as good as you'd expect it to be.
If you are OK with static noise in the background and not looking for crisp clear sound, then its good. But it didn't meet what I was looking for.
I ended up returning the item for a full refund. |

2 duds can't be coincidence |

Ordered one and it wouldn't power on at all. Sent it back and got a replacement. It powered on but all I got was static. Worked with it for an hour before calling Scosche tech support. They worked with me for another 45 minutes and decided I had a defective unit. Two defective units in a row? Says a lot about the quality. |

Works great, easy to install. Would recommend this product for anyone who want to use an IPOD or any other type of accessory with their factory car stereo that doesn't come with an accessory port connection. |

Maybe for someone else but not for me |

I really didn't like this product becuase of the sound quality offered. It has a lot of great features such as the switch to turn it on and off and the fact that the headphone jack will fit pretty much anything. But the sound quality wasn't that great. When I installed mine, there was this constant buzzing noise in the background that drove me nuts, I returned it and spent the money for an ipod input for the back of my stereo, completely worth the trouble of looking for it; I was actually able to get it much cheaper than this cost. |

Fantastic - works great, installs easily |
I purchased the Scosche FM-MOD02 to replace the "car kit" that came with the new Audiovox xm radio I purchased for my car. The new radio used an "fm transmitter" that basically glued over the window antennae. This was fine as long as I never left the neighborhood, but I was constantly hunting for a free station as I drove long distances, which is not why I got xm in the first place.
I originally looked at modulators in a big box store, but they started at $80, which was out of the question. This one, with external plug and switch, was the perfect solution. It let's me play the xm, my ipod, or listen to Pandora from my phone. It was easy to install (as easy as any project that requires taking the dashboard apart, anyway) and performs exactly as promised. The only hitch I found is a very slight drop in volume relative to the previous installation, but not enough to be a problem in any way.
Overall, this is a fantastic modulator for the price. |
